Crackled Tree Bark

Hi everyone! So nice to see you again! :-)

I'm back today with a fun card featuring the Gel-à-Tins Crackle Paint stamp!

This stamp is great for grungy backgrounds and many other looks, but I saw something a bit different in it with my out-of-the-box thinking:

That's right - tree bark!! To me this looks a lot like birch bark and I just had to try that idea out!!

I started with some rustic white cardstock and stamped the crackle effect with a pale grey ink to create my tree bark effect. Then I had an idea which was very Robin Hood - pinning a note to a tree using an arrow! I trimmed out a piece of white cardstock and used a die to give it a notebook page effect, then stamped my sentiment and a little heart.

To finish up the design I adhered the note to the base using dimensional glue gel, then stamped an arrow using red ink, trimmed it out and cut it in half before adhering the pieces to my card to look as if it had gone through the paper!

Supplies Used:

Gel-à-Tins:
Crackle Paint

Oh Happy Day stamp set (Avery Elle), Love & Marriage stamp set (Papertrey Ink)
