Big and Colorful!

Good morning, gel-a-tins friends! Who else is ready for these hot temperatures to go away? I know that I am! But one good thing about this weather...more time to stay inside and create!

I am in love with gel-a-tins Big & Wild Things! Today I am sharing a simple CAS card with a splash of color!

Using one of the big floral stamps from the Big & Wild Things, I stamped the image in one color. To add some POP to the card, dabs of watercolor are placed on each tip of the flower.

Watercolor gel-a-tins FUN

Happy, Tuesday gel-a-tins fans! It's Jessi here from Kissin' Krafts

Lately, I have been on a watercolor kick! So why not pair up watercolors with gel-a-tins stamps!

Today I am using gel-a-tins Big & Wild Things and Merci stamp sets:

Using a variety of colors, I created a sunset scene with the watercolors. Once the paint dried, I stamped a grass image from the gel-a-tins Big & Wild Stamp set. The image is stamped in dark brown and light tan inks. A simple sentiment is stamped on a strip of cardstock.

gel-a-tins Merci

Hello, everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend so far! Today I am sharing a CAS card using
gel-a-tins Big & Wild Things and Merci stamp sets:

I love the large images. It made it very easy to use multiple colors on the stamp. At first, I inked the image with the light blue color. Next, I took the darker blue and lightly tapped around the outer part of the bloom. To finish the card, I added a simple sentiment. The image/sentiment is added to a blue mat, with rounded edges.

Wild Thing!

Hey there!  Today I have another card that I made using the Big and Wild Things stamp set.  I really like this for a soft look on cards and even though this one has some bright colors too, I love how it turned out with that garden of stamps on the front.

I love these little card blanks with the cut outs on the front, but if you don't have any you can easily make your own with a punch or a die.  I used my Xyron 510 to attach the paper to the front of the card then cut out the shape with a craft knife.  I used my edge distresser on the shape edges and the outside edge after I had done the stamping with both colors of ink.  The sticker in the center was attached to some foam adhesive before I put in on the card.

I hope you all have a great, crafty weekend!

Gel A Tins Botanical Card

Today I want to show you a card I came up with by a brief thought I had. I actually saw the card in my mind and well the rest was just sort of recreating it from memory.

I am using the set called Big and Wild Things.

I started by stamping the long grasses with a light blue.
Image

The other botanicals I stamped in 2 different blues, getting darker each time.

I wanted to have the dandelion really stand out from the rest so I framed it and embossed it in red.

I then just accented the red slightly by adding patterned papers and rhinestones.

Here is one last look!

Hello again!  I'm coming back at ya with some more adorable cards from the DT.  Cherie got the Chocolate Bliss stamp set for this month and made this card with it.

Fun Friday projects!

Hello again!  It's finally Friday and we want to send you off for your weekend with some more card inspiration!

I (Jessica) made this first card.  I got this Big and Wild Things set and this was exactly the kind of project I thought it would be perfect for!  The first thing I did was stamp three of the images onto some canvas I got at Michael's.  I used three different greens for a natural, watercolor kind of look.  I trimmed the canvas down and backed it with some green cardstock.  I sewed around the edge with my machine and then inked and attached it to a kraft cardstock card base by Canvas Corp.  The butterflies were punched from craft and I stamped on them with another of the stamps from this set to add some pattern to them.  They got some brown Stickles around the edges to add a little more detail.  The sentiment just got attached to come more card stock and then the card (with foam dots this time).

I really like the way this turned out!  I am going to have to use this set a lot more, especially on some layouts.

Supplies Used:
Canvas Corp Card
Bazzill cardstock
gel-a-tin stamps: Big and Wild Things
Ink by Ranger and Close to My Heart
Sentiment from Joann's
Stickles by Ranger
Xyron Adhesives

Ellen made this cute card (and I think any boy would be excited to get it)!
