Wishing You a Sweet Day

Hello Gel-A-Tins Fans! Kate here today, sharing a sweet card made with Gel-A-Tins "Sweet Cakes" Collection.  I don't know about you, but a cupcake can brighten any day for me!

Here are the steps I used to create this simply sweet card:
  1. Start with a 4.25" x 5.5"  Kraft card base.
  2. Die cut out a Poloroid frame.
  3. Stamp sentiment onto die cut frame with black ink.
  4. Stamp cupcake bottom from Sweet Cakes onto colorful cardstock in complementary darker color, then fussy cut the image.
  5. Stamp the cupcake from Sweet Cakes onto a different colorful cardstock in a complementary lighter color, then fussy cut the image.
  6. Glue the die cut & stamped frame onto the card base.
  7. Add a little bling to the stamped cupcake top....looks like sprinkles, doesn't it?
  8. Add ZapDots to the back of the stamped cupcake images and create the cupcake in center for the frame.
  9. Give to someone to brighten their day!

gel-a-tins Merci

Hello, everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend so far! Today I am sharing a CAS card using
gel-a-tins Big & Wild Things and Merci stamp sets:

I love the large images. It made it very easy to use multiple colors on the stamp. At first, I inked the image with the light blue color. Next, I took the darker blue and lightly tapped around the outer part of the bloom. To finish the card, I added a simple sentiment. The image/sentiment is added to a blue mat, with rounded edges.

'love knots' stamp on a 12x12 page.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I finished a 12x12 layout with my love knots stamp that I wanted to share. I love this stamp! It measures about 4x5 inches x 5.5 inches.

I used three inks in sort of an ombre efffect - red, pink, orange, yellow. Here is a close up so you can see the detail better.
It actually turned out much better than I expected! Always a happy surprise! :) For more details about my page, please visit my blog Markland & Main. Thanks for stopping by today!

Joy and Flowers!

Hello and Happy Monday everyone!  I hope that our fans in the U.S are having a good holiday with their families and that those of you that live outside the U.S. are doing well.  At my house we're getting ready to spend some time with friends and family and I am looking forward to it.

I spent some time this weekend putting a card together to share with you and I hope you like it.  It's a fairly simple card, but I think you get a lot of bang for your buck!

I'm sure that you've noticed that this size is my favorite for cards. :)  I just really like the look and it gives you a great canvas for showing off a pretty patterned paper.  This is all from a Basic Grey pack that I picked up at the Mesa CKC I went to in April.  It took so little paper to get so much impact on this card.

I layered the two patterns you see and then used three more little pieces for the stamped items.  The two different leaves are from one stamp set and the circle and sentiment are from the Chocolate Bliss set.  I just loved that simple look for the sentiment with all the busy papers and the fancy flower.

Speaking of that fancy flower, if you're like me you buy those things and you're almost afraid to use them on a project, right?  They're just so pretty and they can be an investment depending on what your LSS charges.  A card like this puts the focus on your stamped images and that sparkly flower and really shows it off.

I do want to talk about the sentiment too.  A simple sentiment like that can be used so many ways.   This could easily be a birthday card or a congratulations card for a new house or baby or new job or graduation.  Think outside the box when you're using your stamps!  You can get so much use out of a set!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to check out all the other projects here on the blog.  The girls have been hard at work making beautiful projects to share with you and we have some exciting things to share with you this summer.  You won't want to miss any of it!

Different Is Good

Hi everyone! Aren't you glad it's the weekend?! :-)

Today I'm bring you another fun card featuring the Gel-à-Tins Take Me To Your Leader stamp set!

I love finding quirky ways to use stamps and decided to create a design featuring just one of the robots but in a different way:

Fun huh?!

I started with some steel cardstock and stamped the pattern of robots with a co-ordinating ink. I then overstamped one of them with watermark ink and embossed with red embossing powder.

To finish up the design I added a sticker sentiment that really captured the spirit of this card! Love how it turned out!

Paisley Flowers

Hello Gel-A-Tins Fans!  Kate here today sharing my latest card using Gel-A-Tins "Build Your Own-Paisley Florals" Collection.

I used one of the paisley stamps to create the flower petals.  Such an easy way to create a pretty flower! First I stamped the paisley stamp on white stamping cardstock with VersaMark.  Then I embossed the stamped image with embossing powder from Stampendous.  Each paisley image was fussy cut out and then the tails trimmed off.  I then layered each "petal" until it looked like a pretty flower and popped them with Helmar Zapdots.

Clearly Stated

Just like any sign, you need to clearly state what you you are thinking...

And the stream-lined, sign-looking people in the "Home Sweet Home" set can
help you get your message across.
Here, I used "Teal You Want" embossing powder
and pieced the dress on this fashionable stick figure!

Hey everyone! I'm sharing a pillowbox I made using two stamp sets from Gelatins Stamps. The stamp sets I used are Happiness & It's Your Day

Here's my project:
I used the one of the flower background stamps from the Happiness set to stamp in the middle of my tag. I masked off the edges first. The ink is Prima chalk ink in moss lawn. Then I used the it's your day sentiment with some Versafine ink.

You can see more of my project & a supply list at my blog, Markland & Main. Thanks for stopping by today1

Go Get 'Em Tiger!

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! :-)

I'm sure you won't be surprised to see me feature another card created using the Gel-à-Tins Zebra Background stamp down! I don't have enough superlatives for how much I love this stamp!

It's always fun to change up the look a stamp gives just by varying your colours etc. For example a quick switch up of colour here and you have something that isn't zebra print at all:

Fun right?! This card would be just perfect to give to someone to wish them luck for a big interview, first day at work, and other occasions where someone might need encouragement or good luck wishes!

I stamped a tie image onto orange cardstock, trimmed it out, then stamped the zebra print over it. Love how it now looks like tiger stripes!

I added a fun sentiment using a typewriter alphabet font set. This goes so well with the overall idea, I just love it!

Supplies Used:

Gel-à-Tins:
Zebra Background

Other:

His Birthday stamp set (Woodware), Typewriter Alphabet stamp set (MFT)
Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko)
Stamper's Select White cardstock (Papertrey Ink), Orange You Fabulous cardstock (Clear And Simple Stamps)

Pinflair Glue Gel (Olba)

I'll be back again soon to share another project, have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Love Is Like A Butterfly

Love is in the air! So are butterflies!  Kate here today to share with you a card filled with love and butterflies.  The butterflies in the sweet grass stamp from the Easter Bunnies collection inspired me to play on the butterflies.

I stamped the image across the bottom of my kraft cardstock in Emerald Green Archival Ink.  I love the little flowers and butterflies just peeking out from this stamped image.

You know a stamp is great when you can build a card around it. That is exactly what I did with this stamp!

Thank You Little Birdie

Hello, gel-a-tins friends! Today's project highlights the gel-a-tins Build Your Own Paisley Stamp set. The dotted outline paisley makes a pretty paper-pieced bird.

The wing of the bird was cut-out by outlining the small solid paisley stamp in the Build Your Own Paisley Stamp set. A pendant die cut is used to form the beak.  The decorative window is formed with diecuts as well.   A simple sentiment from gel-a-tins Honey Bear is added to finalize the card.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Spring Greetings!

Today', I am showing a card using "Easter Bunnies" by Gel-a-tins.
Just b/c it's Easter doesn't mean that you have to make an Easter card.
I simply cut up the phrases found in this set.
Arrange them in a new order on your acrylic block and you have more options!!

Super cute bunny...with rhinestones!

I hope your neighborhood bunnies aren't eating your tulips...
they sure are here!!

friendship card featuring Happiness stamp set.

Hello! I have a card to share using the Happiness stamp set.
I used a flower border and a word border along the top of my card. The ink is onxy black by VersaFine and if you've never tried this ink before, it is amazing! It works especially great for these borders, giving really crisp images.

Here's my card:

A Smile for your Friday

Hello and happy Friday, gelly fans!  Jessica here with a little card I put together to share with you.  I really wanted to use a doily on this one so that is where I started.
I loved that grey paper and decided to layer some different elements that I found in my scrap room along with my stamped sentiment.  I think that a card like this is great for a lot of different occasions, anything from a birthday to just saying hello.

The Put a Cap on It set is so much fun to work with and I love that I got to choose one of my favorite colors to add into this combo.  You have to love orange for a happy card!
I hope you're inspired to get crafty this weekend!  Thank you for stopping by and be sure to check out our Facebook page for more projects and contests!

You Are Fabulous!

Hey everyone! How are you today? :-)

My love of animal print means I really can't put the Gel-à-Tins Zebra Background stamp down! I keep reaching for it again and again! That's love. :-)

Today I decided to create a card that shows that you don't need to have a full background of this stamp to showcase its fabulousness:

Love!!

I stamped the background at a slant using pink ink, then used a lavender marker to draw some lines to frame the stamping.

Then I decided to break with tradition and use some stickers! I had these great ones in my stash for ages and broke them out to spell out my sentiment! Love how this turned out - very hip!!

Supplies Used:

Gel-à-Tins:
Zebra Background

Other:

Bubblegum ink (Hero Arts)
Stamper's Select White cardstock (Papertrey Ink)

Copic Marker
Uni-ball Signo White gel pen
Bluebell 'Bright' Tiny Word stickers (My Mind's Eye)
Ready Set Go Baxter 2 Transparent Letter stickers (Amy Tangerine)

Birthday Layout

Hello Gel-A-Tins Fans!  Kate here on this lovely spring Tuesday.  Today I am sharing with you a layout accented with fun, colorful rays that have been stamped with a sentiment from the "It's Your Day" collection.

I initially posted this layout to Quick Quotes for their challenge this month, but was so thrilled with the stamped rays of color that I knew I just had to share this with all of you! I love it when I can effectively add in a sentiment stamp as an embellishment on one of my layouts.

Adding a monochromatic "It's Your Day" stamped on my rays of color was the perfect touch. It added interest to the colorful strips of paper.
