Love Knots Funky Fridge Magnet Frame

Hi everyone! How are you doing?

Today I'm returning to one of my all-time Gel-à-Tins favourite sets - Love Knots!

I created a photo frame with this set last year, but today wanted to give it another modern twist and create a magnetic frame with some on-trend colours:

Fun right?! And really simple to create!

I started by die cutting the Polaroid frame and stamping Love Knots on it with watermark ink. I then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. Such a stunning effect!!

Gold, coral and black is such an on-trend colour combo right now, and I wanted to recreate that so I took a fine paintbrush and selectively coloured some areas of the frame with coral and black inks. So simple and gives such a funky finish!

I finished up by backing my frame with a few layers of coaster board, taking care to trim a gap in the middle layer to accept a photo. I added some adhesive magnetic sheet to the back and voilà - a funky fridge magnet frame, customisable with your own photo!

Supplies Used:

Gel-à-Tins:
Love Knots

Other:
Burano ink (A:Muse), Versafine Onyx Black ink, Versamark ink (Tsukineko)
Vintage Cream cardstock, coaster board (Papertrey Ink)
Metallic Gold Rich Pale Embossing Powder (WOW!)

Fabulous Frames die (Papertrey Ink)
Adhesive Magnetic Sheet

I'll be back again soon to share another project, have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Nice Dye Job!

Easter is this weekend!
Today I am sharing with you an Easter  card I made with the Easter Bunny collection.

I had a little fun with the Easter egg stamps in this collection.

I printed the sentiment using my computer and then I stamped the
pretty egg stamps from this collection in rows.  I used my
Fiscars Stamp Press to help align my stamped eggs images.

I colored in the one egg with a green Faber Castell Pitt Pen and
added a bit of Tattered Angels Glam to make it shimmery.

This Easter card is perfect for anyone that has a good sense of humor!

Other Supplies:
Stamping Cardstock ~ Papertrey Ink
Archival Ink ~ Ranger
Pitt Pen ~ Faber Castell
Glam ~ Tattered Angels
Glues ~ Helmar

The card actually makes me giggle and I hope it makes you giggle, too.

Easter Greetings from gel-a-tins

Hello, gel-a-tins fans! Jessi here, from Kissin' Krafts. Today I have created an elegant Easter card using gel-a-tins' Easter Bunnies Stamp set.

I used a cross die to create the diecut on the paper layer. To highlight the cross, I placed a piece of patterned paper under the diecut area. The Easter sentiment is stamp in brown ink below the diecut. One strip of patterned paper is added to the bottom of the card. The final touch was to add a few individual gems from gelly gem rolls to add elegant effect to the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoy the rest of you week!

Bejeweled and Bedecked...

Easter is right around the corner!
This egg is from Gelatin's Faberge Egg set.
And, with eggs with this much flourish, why not pile it on??

This is a sweet little note.
How to:
Take a 6x6 inch piece of paper.
Score at 1.5 inches. Turn your paper a quarter turn and score again at 1.5 inches
Repeat on all 4 sides.

To keep your note closed, create a belly band...

...and embellish away!!

Mini Flakes Fireworks!

Hi everyone! How are you doing?

Today I'm sharing a funky card I made using the Gel-à-Tins Mini Retro Flakes and Mini Fancy Flakes sets!

I still see fireworks when I look at these little flakes! Maybe it's just me?! But anyway, I'm alright with that when it means I can create cards like this:

How funky is that?! I even managed to sneak in some trends while I was at it - with neon and ombre making an appearance!

I started by stamping my landmarks silhouette in black in and heat embossing with clear embossing powder. I then stamped all my flakes using watermark ink and heat embossing.

Next I blended my neon inks onto my card to create that fantastic sky! After that all I did was add the numbers at the top and that's all that was needed! I know it's been 2013 for quite some time but that doesn't mean we can't still celebrate a good year so far, right?!

Supplies Used:

Gel-à-Tins:
Mini Retro Flakes, Mini Fancy Flakes

Other:
International Skyline stamp (Hero Arts), Headline Alphabet stamp set (Papertrey Ink)
Neon Pink, Neon Yellow, Neon Orange inks (Hero Arts), Versafine Onyx Black ink, Versamark ink (Tsukineko)
Stamper's Select White cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
Clear Semi Dull Embossing Powder (WOW!)

I'll be back again soon to share another project, have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter!

Easter is right around the corner and I'll be honest, while we celebrate Easter
every year I am terrible at making cards for the occassion.  This year I am
already done with two Easter cards thanks to the fun Easter Bunny collection of stamps.

Today I am sharing the first card I made using one of the bunny stamps.
Why only one of the bunny stamps?  Well, because this one looked like a marshmellow peep.

Doesn't that cute little bunny look like a marshmellow peep?

I stamped the three bunnies across the top and bottom of my white cardstock
using Quick Quote Powder Puff Claking Inks. I added black pearls to give them a
bit of dimention.

The "Happy Easter" sentiment is also a stamp included in the Easter Bunny
collection.  It is just a beautiful font!

Other Supplies:

gel-a-tins Easter style

Can you believe that Easter is less than 2 weeks away? Are you ready gel-a-tins friends? Today I am sharing a CAS Easter card using the gel-a-tins Easter Bunnies stamp set.

Here is my gel-a-tins Easter creation:

I took the back of the egg stamp and inked it up with the purple ink and stamped. Wiped the purple ink off and allowed the stamp to dry. Then I put brown ink on the egg stamp (design side) and stamped over the purple. I cut the eggs out and attached to the embossed cardstock. The next step is to stamp and cut the bunny image from the stamp set.

hello love

Happy Friday! I have a card today using the SWAK stamp set. These lips are really fun & I discovered using them with Faber-Castell gelatos really makes the stamped image look like actual lipstick.

For my card today, I used Zing embossing powder in rouge & you can see how awesome it looks in this close up shot:
I'll be sharing more projects soon with this stamp set because there are several different sets of lips to use!

Traffic Signs Arrow Tag

Hi everyone! It's so good to see you today!  :-)

I'm back today to show you a tag created using the Traffic Signs stamp set. Arrows are all the rage at the moment so I wanted to incorporate this trend to create a funky gift tag:

Fun right? Gotta love all that bright neon!

This came together pretty easily - I just stamped the same arrow repeatedly across my tag using various neon inks.

I added the sentiment in black in to take some of the heat out of that neon, but thanks to the alphabet not being solid it still allows all that glorious colour to play a major part!

Supplies used:

Gel-à-Tins:
Traffic Signs stamp set

Other:
Headline Alphabet stamp set (Papertrey Ink)
Stamper's Select White cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
Neon inks (Hero Arts), Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko)
Tag Sale #7 die (Papertrey Ink)
Black ribbon

I'll be back again soon to share another project, have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!!!

Happy Birthday

For this card I combined many of the great stamps from the gel-a-tins range.  I wanted to create a funky and bright birthday card that would suit a teenager.  I had some new Neon markers and thought that this was the ideal way to give them a try.

Products Used

gel-a-tins 'Brick Wall' background stamp
gel-a-tins 'Raindrops Are Falling' stamp set
gel-a-tins 'Stars' set
gel-a-tins 'Mini retro Flakes and Sayings' stamp set
gel-a-tins 'SWAK' stamp set
StazOn ink
Xyron 150 X
Letraset Promarkers 'Neon' set
Shoe Laces
5"x7" Card Blank

I stamped the 'Brick Wall' onto the blank base card using the StazOn ink

The markers worked great with the stamps, just rub across the surface and stamp away.

The neon combined with the stamps give a graffiti effect.

A strip from the neon shoe lace instead of ribbon gives it a little more 'Street Cred'

Kiss, Kiss

Do you ever find yourself completely stumped as to what a layout needs to give it a complete look?  I had this layout sitting on my desk for a week. It just wasn't complete; it just needed "something."  That "something" was a border of kisses compliments of the S.W.A.K. stamps.

This simple border was stamped onto smooth white Bazzill cardstock using a deep red ink.  I repeated the pattern of 3 kisses, 3 times.

These fun whimsical kisses totally played on the kissy face my daughter has in the bottom photo of her and her friends on Valentine's Day.

gel-a-tins Crackle Clover

Hello, gel-a-tins fans! Do you like to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? If so, how! Do you wear green? Drink beer? Eat some Irish food?

Today's creation is a simple card to make!

I used gel-a-tins Crackle Paint background stamp to add the textured look to the shamrock leaves (simple heart shaped cardstock). I used three of them to form the clover. A bright red button and lime twine is added to the center of the shamrock.

The last step was to add the sentiment and attach the shamrock rhinestones.
Join us on Facebook! We would love for you to share your gel-a-tins creations!
