Flowery Thank You

Happy weekend, gel-a-tins fans! Hope you have enjoyed our month long promotion with The Robin's Nest! I decided that it was appropriate to make a Thank You card to show our appreciation towards The Robin's Nest!

Today I am using a simple gel-a-tins sentiment from the Honey Bear stamp set:

This card is so simple to make! I cut the patterned paper to the size of a backing mat for an A2 card. The flowers are hand cut from a patterned paper. And layered for a 3D effect.

Hope you have time to create with your own gel-a-tins stamps this weekend! We would love to see your creations! Join us on Facebook and upload your projects!

Have a wonderful day!

You Are Out Of This World

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! :-)

Today I'm bring you a fun mini card featuring the Gel-à-Tins Shifting Gears and Take Me To Your Leader stamps!

I really wanted to create a cute boy-themed card with these sets, and the space theme from Take Me To Your Leader led me to this:

Fun huh?!

I started with some silver cardstock and embossed the robots/aliens and the 'planet' and sentiment using clear embossing powder. I really wanted these guys to live on a gear planet, isn't it cute?!

To finish up the design and take it into subspace I sprayed and splattered the card with mists then wiped off the excess from the embossed images. I love this quick and easy emboss resist technique, and the results really look like a space scene!

Supplies Used:

Gel-à-Tins:
Shifting Gears, Take Me To Your Leader

Other:

Versamark ink (Tsukineko)
Sterling Silver cardstock (Clear And Simple Stamps)

Black Velvet, Tropicana Teal Mists (Heidi Swapp)
Clear Semi Dull embossing powder (WOW!)

I'm looking forward to seeing you again when I next post! Have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Spring Bird

Spring has sprung here in Maine.  That means lots of green and lots of birds.
It is such a wonderful time of the year for renewal and color.

Kate here! Today I am sharing a spring card.
My card shows off a pretty bird created with Gel-A-Tins

I created the bird by stamping the large paisley stamp twice onto Celebration Glitter Swirl Cardstock  by The Robin's Nest. Then I cut out the image and mounted it onto Green Glitter Cardstock, also by The Robin's Nest. The images were then overlapped so the bottom image creates a bird wing.

I stamped a small solid paisley, cut it out and mounted it on the
Green Glitter Cardstock creating a fuller bird.

I hope you have enjoyed the insight into how I created my spring bird
using the paisley stamps from Gel-A-Tins!

Here are some more fun products as we continue our April cross promotion with
The Robin's Nest company!

I used the swirl from "Faberge Eggs" to embellish the back of this Chili Flame Border paper from The Robin's Nest.  It mimmicks the embossed Damask Black and White paper.  Ochre Watercolor paper has a ridged texture to tie in the color scheme.  The clear diamond dew drops are a subtle addition to the card.  The sentiment can be found in the "Rock a bye Baby" set!

More Spring

As you probably have already read, this month the Gelatinas are partnering up with The Robin's Nest to show you some great things using this products!

The happy colors of The Robin's Nest' Sorbet collection just POP! against plain kraft paper.
I love that the blue papers of this collection are double sided. The back side is un-glittered and this gives you more options for your designs! Here I restamped the flowers from "Easter Bunnies"set onto the corner of the blue panel.  Tone on tone can give you some interest without taking away from the main panel.
Here I have used dew drops from Winter's Retreat to accent my card.  Yes, Winter's Retreat is probably my favorite dew drop collection!!  Take a peek at all the wonderful colors, shapes and collections of dew drops. What is your favorite?

What do you think about the Rumple Ribbon from Lovebug Creations?

If you didn't see this Spring card on The Chattering Robins Company blog yesterday,
be sure to go and read more about it!!

One more...using hand made embellies using Creative Paperclay ® and the swirls from
"Faberge Eggs."  Can you spot the Robin's Nest Papers here?

Easter Greetings card, better late than never!

I know Easter was a little over a week ago but I made this Easter card & I still wanted to share it.

This Gelatins stamp set is called Easter Bunnies. It also has some flowers & a "spring" sentiment so it's not just for Easter.

My card was made using two of the egg designs & the pretty paper is from Robin's Nest. We're teaming up with them this whole month!
The yellow looks pretty loud in this photo but it's not so bright in real life.

Thanks for stopping by to see my (late) Eater card. For more details, stop by my blog today.
