Sometimes I just plain ol' forget to pull out my stamps to use on a layout.
"It's Your Day" collection not only inspired me to use stamps on today's layout,
I built my layout and title around the awesome banner stamps in this set.
The picture of my daughter, Lily, is from when she first learned to ride a 2-wheeler. Totally "a banner day," right?
I used three kraft tags to start. To create the outer two tags, I used the two larger banners stamps in the "It's Your Day" collection.
I wanted to create swooping banners so I just kept rotating my tag as I stamped the banner images with black Archival Ink. The fun banners were then colored with Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils. I smudged the colored in images just a bit here and there to get different shades of color.
I hope you are now inspired to stamp on your next layout!
