A Banner Day!

Sometimes I just plain ol' forget to pull out my stamps to use on a layout. "It's Your Day" collection not only inspired me to use stamps on today's layout, I built my layout and title around the awesome banner stamps in this set.

The picture of my daughter, Lily, is from when she first learned to ride a 2-wheeler. Totally "a banner day," right?

Image

I used three kraft tags to start. To create the outer two tags, I used the two larger banners stamps in the "It's Your Day" collection.
I wanted to create swooping banners so I just kept rotating my tag as I stamped the banner images with black Archival Ink. The fun banners were then colored with Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils. I smudged the colored in images just a bit here and there to get different shades of color.

I hope you are now inspired to stamp on your next layout!

U Stop My Heart

Hooray, it is February! Who else LOVES this month? Can you smell the LOVE in the air? It's Jessi from Kissin' Krafts and today I am excited to show this card that I made using the gel-a-tins STOP gelly jr. stamp!

Image

I have always enjoyed the red, pink and aqua color combo and decided that this was the perfect card to make using those colors!

The STOP gelly jr stamp is stamped in pink and hand-cut. Using a variety of stickers and chipboard, I created the rest of the "sentiment". To add to the card, I used different embossing folders to add to the back layer and pink strip. The final piece to add was the simple twine, even though it is some what messed up in the picture ;)!

Thank you for stopping by today! Please share you gel-a-tins creations on our Facebook page, we would love to see what you come up with!

Supplies:
gel-a-tins - gelly jr. STOP sign
Recollection Kraft cardstock
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - Seeing Spots
Paper Studio Embossing Folder - Woodgrain
Trendy Twine - Tickled with Teal
Lily Bee Design - Alpha Stickers
My Little Shoebox - Chipboard Letter
Misc. Chipboard heart

Happiness Is...

Here is a layout I did using the Happiness stamp set. I like this set because of the variety in the dot set & the flower set. This week I used the dot borders but I have plans for the flowers very soon. This is such a cool stamp set!

So for this layout, I used the single dot border stamped in black on the grey striped patterned paper. Then I used the four row dot border stamp in two different spots on this page. Unfortunately, it didn't scan as well. I stamped with a grey chalk ink and it's not showing up so well in the scan.

Hope you're inspired to check out this stamp set!

Shake Up Your Valentine's Day

Hey there!  It has been a while, but I'm back to share a card with you.

It seems like I get to scrap more for Valentine's Day than I do for just about any other holiday.  It's a more calm time of year so I have more free time to work on projects (plus there is some cute Valentine stuff out there!).

I decided to make a shaker card to share with you today.  Check it out...

The first thing that I did was stamp some of the small hearts from the A Hundred Hearts set onto some white paper with Versamark ink.  I made three of them and embossed one with the Cherry scented gelly powder, one with the Hawaiian Breeze gelly powder and one with the plumeria gelly powder.  My scraproom smelled so good while I was working on this card :)

The shaker box is madde from layers of foam adhesive that I made with my Xyron machine.  I cut the heart for the top out from a shape that I drew, and I used pinking shears because I thought it was cute.  I used papers from a little American Crafts stack I picked up at Target and the other items on the card are Stampin' Up inks, a Jenni Bowlin Fiskars punch, twine by The Twinery, ribbon by May Arts, and heart sequins by Queen and Co.

I also threw some beads in there for a little more sparkle in the shaker.  This took a little bit to put together (I didn't start out with a real plan for the shaker), but I LOVE how it turned out!  I hope you're inspired to make a little something with your gel-a-tin stamps this week!

Chevron Love

Hello, everyone! It's Jessi here, from Kissin' Krafts! Can you feel the love in the air? With Valentine's Day next month, have you started you cards or projects yet?

I made a CAS card using the gel-a-tins Gingerbread House Set and Cheverontastic Set:

Image

I love the kraft, white and red combination, which makes it perfect for Valentine's! Using one of the Cheverontastic stamps to create the fun border at the bottom of the card. A red heart is added for a special POP. Foam letter stickers are used for the sentiment on the card. The last step is to round the corners of the card.

I also added a strip of the silver gelly gems because I like to see a little bling:)
