A last minute ornament idea from Jodi!

Christmas is only a few days away, and to help you get into the Christmas Spirit, I thought I would share with a neat project that you can make with your stamps!

Instructions:
1. Stamp your tree stamp from the Twas the Night Before Christmas Stamp Set on white cardstock and color it in with your copic markers
2. Add Glitter to the garland, and add mini red pom-poms to the tree.
3. Cut around the tree, and adhere with a strong glue to your clear ornament. I used Modge podge to smooth it over nicely.
4. Cut think strips of paper using Christmas Colours and roll them around a pencil. Insert these rolled pieced into the clear ornament until it is filled.
5. Attach a ribbon and place on your tree.

Supplies Used:
Gel-a-tins Stamp: Twas the Night Before Christmas
Clear Plastic Ornament
Copic Markers
Modge Podge
Mini Pom poms
Glitter

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Twas the night before...

Image

Just a few days remaining and all of the 2011 seasonal crafting, shopping and decorating will come to a end. This is the time when we can sit back and enjoy all that makes this holiday season so special year after year. Before the post office closes, the stores are quiet and you have run out of steam...take a break in your craft room and whip up something just for you.

Created this card using Twas the Night Before Christmas. Strung a few stockings...these ones not by the fireplace, but with bits and pieces of vintage goodness. Each tiny tag is stamped with the holly and lightly colored using Copic markers. Finished off with the traditional sentiment, which is must this time of year.

Gel-A-Tins Twas the Night Before Christmas
Melissa Frances - paper
Frost It Pink - bell, seam binding, tags, ticket, lace
Papertrey Ink - die, notebook paper, cardstock

Making your own wrapping paper and a Christmas tag!

Hi everyone! Jodi Wilton here today, to show you another unique way to use your stamps (especially at Christmas time!) Have you ever been stuck last minute with no wrapping paper in your house? This happens to me ALL the time! I always have tissue paper on hand for crafts, and by using stamps, you can create some unique wrapping paper! Here is what I made using the Twas the Night Before Christmas Stamp Set:

Instructions:
1. I took regular tissue paper, and picked one stamp (you can use a variety themed ones if you wish!). I stamped in black ink, randomly over one complete sheet of tissue paper. I then bunched it up, tied it together with some curling ribbon and volia! A quick and easy project!
2. You can also make a matching tag, by using the same stamp you used on a the tissue paper. I stamped the bells on the tag, and colored in with my copics. I then stamped my sentiment, and added a border with my copics.

Close up of the tag:

Have fun with this technique! You can also try stamping in different colors of ink on white tissue paper, or stamping on Kraft parcel paper!

Holiday Card by Andrea

Image

Can't celebrate the holidays without a little sparkle right? Recently found myself picking up a few new wood items at my local craft store. Came across a few bare snowflake shapes and just knew a little paint and glitter might just make them perfect for my project today. So I pulled out my Gel-A-Tin Twas the Night Before Christmas stamps and went to work...

Image

Created a border along the side of the card using "Christmas", the tree is stamped onto cardstock and lightly colored using Copic markers and the holly leaves beautifully accented the felt and pearl button. Love how each year there is no limit to the amount and variety of color to help brighten up our homes and crafting projects. Just don't forget the sparkle.

Bazzill Basics Paper - cardstock
