Dressed Up Envelopes

So often we leave card envelopes plain.  Why?  Don't they deserve a little primping up of their own?  Today I am sharing two dressed up envelopes I made using Gel-A-Tins Stamps "It's Your Day" and "SWAK" Collections.

I didn't do anything fancy with these envelopes.

For the SWAK envelope I just simply stamped one of the lip stamps with red Chalking Ink where the envelope is sealed.

To make the balloon border using the "It's Your Day" collection, I stamped the border image along the bottom of the front of the envelope in black Archival Ink.  The balloons are colored with Faber-Castell Pitt Pens.

Aren't these dressed up envelopes fun?  Try making one for the next card that you make!

'it's your day' pillowbox

Hey everyone! I'm sharing a pillowbox I made using two stamp sets from Gelatins Stamps. The stamp sets I used are Happiness & It's Your Day

Here's my project:
I used the one of the flower background stamps from the Happiness set to stamp in the middle of my tag. I masked off the edges first. The ink is Prima chalk ink in moss lawn. Then I used the it's your day sentiment with some Versafine ink.

You can see more of my project & a supply list at my blog, Markland & Main. Thanks for stopping by today1

Birthday Layout

Hello Gel-A-Tins Fans!  Kate here on this lovely spring Tuesday.  Today I am sharing with you a layout accented with fun, colorful rays that have been stamped with a sentiment from the "It's Your Day" collection.

I initially posted this layout to Quick Quotes for their challenge this month, but was so thrilled with the stamped rays of color that I knew I just had to share this with all of you! I love it when I can effectively add in a sentiment stamp as an embellishment on one of my layouts.

Adding a monochromatic "It's Your Day" stamped on my rays of color was the perfect touch. It added interest to the colorful strips of paper.

Bright & Cheery Card!

Happy Friday!  Kate here!  Sometimes an occassion just calls for a bright and colorful card.  Something cheery and happy.

Today I am sharing a card that is very bright and cheery. I used Gel-A-Tins' "It's Your Day" Collection and Gelly Gems.  It is also chock-full of The Robin's Nest papers.

I stamped the "It's Your Day" sentiment on textured cardstock.

I cut out individual Gelly Gems to use as bling accents on the stars and the sentiment.

This month the Gel-A-Tinas have the pleasure of designing with products from The Robin's Nest.  Be sure to check their blog and Facebook fan page. Be sure to tell them Gel-A-Tins Stamps sent you!

A Banner Birthday

"It's Your Day" is such a wonderful collection of stamps for any occassion. A couple of weeks ago I shared
with you the layout I created using the banner stamps in this collection, today I am sharing with you how
I used the heart banner stamp on a birthday card.

Image

I used Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalking Inks to create a chalk board effect with the heart banner stamps
and the "It's Your Day" sentiment on the black cardstock. Pretty smashing effect!

It's Your Day

I used the It's Your Day stamp set for this layout. The banner stamp is perfect for this layout about when I won tickets to see my favorite country music singer ever, Gary Allan.

This is such a great set because there are several stamps for all of your celebration needs. The heart stamp I used once before and in addition to this banner, there is also a balloon banner. I haven't even used the sentiments with this set yet!

A Banner Day!

Sometimes I just plain ol' forget to pull out my stamps to use on a layout. "It's Your Day" collection not only inspired me to use stamps on today's layout, I built my layout and title around the awesome banner stamps in this set.

The picture of my daughter, Lily, is from when she first learned to ride a 2-wheeler. Totally "a banner day," right?

Image

I used three kraft tags to start. To create the outer two tags, I used the two larger banners stamps in the "It's Your Day" collection.
I wanted to create swooping banners so I just kept rotating my tag as I stamped the banner images with black Archival Ink. The fun banners were then colored with Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils. I smudged the colored in images just a bit here and there to get different shades of color.

I hope you are now inspired to stamp on your next layout!

Hearts for Coffee

My dad got me a Keurig for Christmas and I am in love with this thing. I had to document how much I adore this little machine.

I also added a strip of the silver gelly gems because I like to see a little bling:)

Other supplies used:
Echo Park Love Story collection - patterned papers, cardstock stickers
Elle's Studio - cut outs, strips
Crate Paper Paper Heart collection - cardstock stickers
Bella Blvd - buttons
Prima chalk ink - red ink
