Celebrate!

Good morning and happy Saturday, gelly fans!  I'm really happy to be back again to share another card with you this week!

For this one I started with the kit that I bought at a local scrapbook convention.  It came with some papers and embellishments and I chose the Sewing Kit and Sweet to the Core sets to go along with it for a fun look.  The kit is all by My Mind's Eye and I loved the colors and the vintage look and I wanted to add to that with my stamps.  This is what I came up with:

I wanted that main embellishment up top to be the apple, but I added a little stamped button up there too.  I stamped the image on one of the patterned papers, cut it out, ran it through my Xyron 150 with the stamped image upside down and then stuck it to the back side of a clear button to make that embellishment.  The stitching on the bottom is also from the Sewing kit set.  I wanted a vintage fair look and I think the stamps really helped with that!

Thanks for coming by today!  Have a great weekend!

Sweet Plaid Apples and Pears

Hey there!  Jessica here with a little card I made using my Sweet to the Core gel-a-tin stamp set.

I love these outline stamps!  This paper is all from a 6x6 pad by Echo Park, and I thought that a card with a plaid apple would be perfect.

Because this card is all about the stamps, it goes together in a heartbeat.  I really love using this set to make cards and layouts.  Those apples are perfect for teacher's cards and gifts!

I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday!  Stop back by tomorrow for another project from Sharon!

Back to School cards!

Hey all!  It's Jessica here with some fun little back to school cards that I put together.

I was thinking that it would be fun to have some little cards ready to go for when I needed to send a thank you note to the teacher or for when I wanted to put a nice note in a lunch box for one of the boys.

The elements and papers are all from a pad by Echo Park called "School Daze."  I saw it at the LSS and fell in love, so it came home with me :)

I used my Xyron to attach everything and layered some of the embellishments with some foam adhesive that I made with my Xyron.

There are some Karen Foster brads and Twinery Twine in there too.  I love the look twine adds to a card!

This is a close-up of my back to school apples :)  I stamped the solid apple from the Sweet to the Core set in red then I stamped over it with the Love Knots stamp and brown ink.  I really like the texture this added to the apples.

I hope you're enjoying your summer (and school too, if you're already back like we are).  Be sure to stop by out Facebook page for info about contests and prizes!

Sweet to the core!

Happy Friday to you all!

My card today may only have a little green in it (you know, if you're thinking about St. Patrick's Day tomorrow) but it would definitely bring a smile to a friend's face.

This Sweet to the Core stamp set is so cute and versatile and I really like using it on my cards and layouts.  I hope you like what I made to share today!

I started by stamping some solid red apples and solid green pears onto white cardstock.  Then I went back and stamped the black background on them all.  I added the sentiment in black ink as well and then cut everything out.  I layered all the elements on my card and then added that fun red bow.  all you have to do to get that look is tie your bow, leaving a long tail on the loose end and then keep tying bows over the top until you have the look you want.  The stitching detail was just done free-hand with a black pen.  Quick and easy and very fun, I think.

Keep an eye out for our next DT call!  This has been a really great group of girls to work with, but now it's your chance to be a part of our team from May through October of this year.  The call goes out this weekend for the next gel-a-tinas!

A sunny card for a holiday weekend!

Hey again!  It's Jessica :)  Today I have a card that I made using the Sweet to the Core stamp set and the Milk and Honey scented embossing powder.  Check it out!

I started with a circular card base and added to that.  The heart was made by tracing one of my Xyron/Spellbinder's dies (I wanted a slightly different size than I could get with the set, but tracing and cutting worked perfectly)!  I stamped the "Sweet to the Core" sentiment on blue paper and punched it out and the pear was punched with Versamark ink, embossed with the Milk and Honey scented embossing powder and then cut out with scissors.  I layered it all together with My Mind's Eye papers, Maya Road and Joann's pins and May Arts ribbon.  Hope you like it!

Have a wonderful new year!
