Folk Art Thanks Card

Hello stamps! Nina here. This is my last project for Gelatins as a DT member. I really enjoyed creating with the Gelatin stamps. Thanks Gelatins, for having me on your amazing team!

Image

Stamps I used (except the sentiment) are from the Fluer de Lis set. It immediately reminded me of some folk art I've seen. The stamp set also has some more distressed looking motifs. They are all great for this technique. I added some more of the blings to spice it up:

I love how this turned out. Thank you for stopping by!

Banners and Sparkle by Nina

Hello stampers! Nina here with a quick and easy halloween card using the fun banners from Witch Poo set.

Image

One of the fun things you can do with a photopolymer stamp is that you can bend a banner or sentiment to create curves:

Image

I heat embossed the banner three times in lavender, leaf and mustard colored embossing powder by American Crafts.

The pretty bling background? It was a beautiful surprise that came in my DT package! Thanks Bonnie, I really enjoyed it!

Happy Huanting! :)

Haunted House Card

Hello, everyone! Nina here with a fun Halloween card! I free hand cut the mountain from black cardstock.

Image

Stamps except the sentiment are from Gelatins Witch Poo set. I love the silhouettes in this set! I used a ink dabber and the negative of a punched circle to create the moon:

Image

I then inked the white card base with some blue ink for the sky.

fun and easy! :)

Fall Kitty Tin

Hello stampers, Nina here with a little favor tin! I can't believe we are creating Halloween projects again! Now, meet my little fall kitty:

Image

I used a pretty fun Copic technique with the 0 Colorless Blender: I first saturated the kitty hat with a purple marker and then used the blender to create the polka dots :) Super fun to do to give your kitty a little character :) And here is how the rest of the tin looks like:

Image

I used a 1-3/4" circle punch to punch the kitty out and the circle fits right on the Tim Holtz Mini Rossette (the bigger one in the set), perfect!

Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!

Just a Note

Hello stampers, Nina here with just a note ;)

Image

I used both front and back of the Just A Note stamp:

Image

Cut around the stamped image, stack them, punch a hole in the corner, thread it and you are done!

Image

I was inspired by Anita's Doodle Flowers card to use the back of a stamp for the solid image. I could not stop here so I made another note card set:

Image

This time the solid images were stamped on the back of the card:

Image

They are just cute! I want to make one in every color ink I have!

Image

I hope that you are inspired to create some mini note cards using the Gelly Jrs. Happy Crafting!

Snowflake Banner

Hello stampers, Nina here again!

Today I am sharing a easy banner with the snowflake Gelly Jr stamp.
Image

I punched several circles with a 2" circle punch and heat-embossed the snowflakes in white. I machine stitched them together.

Image

Alternatives:
- Use blue cardstock for a more wintry look.
- Just use white ink and let dry.
- Try heat emboss in red (or just red ink) on white cardstock
- Replace the snowflake with any image to suit your theme. (i.e, "doodle flower" for a girl's birthday party; "fall kitty" for Halloween)

It took me about 10 minutes to make the entire banner. I hope that you will give it a try! Happy Crafting!

I Pine for You

Hello crafters! Nina here again with another Gelly Jr stamp: the Winter Pine. I think it is designed for winter but a "I pine for you" card can be used at any time, right?

Image

I tried something new this time: stamp and then dry emboss. The results is a subtle texture to the card.

Image

Supplies used:

Winter's Pine (Gelly Jr by Gelatins)
Ink: (Cottage Ivy, Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko
Cardstock: (Solar White, Desert Sand) Neenah
Embossing Folder: (branches) Cuttlebug

Burning Love

Morning stampers! Have you enjoyed the giveaway a day on Gelatins' Facebook Page? Love the new Gelly Jr's? :) Today I am sharing another card I made using the Hot Flame stamp. The sentiment is from Elvis Presley Burning Love Song :)

Image

The heart is from one of the older set called Hugs & Kisses. The flame can be a nice touch to almost any image!

Image

I designed the sentiment on my computer and print it out. I masked the heart off and stamped the flames.
Image

The flames sorta look like wings too! Cool and quick! I hope that you are inspired to use some flames in your projects. Happy Crafting!

What's Up?

Hello Everyone, Nina here to share a simple card I made using Traffic Signs Stamp Set.

Image

Traffic Signs is a very clean and stylish masculine set for making cards for the men in your life. I love the font in this set and cannot help but try to spell something out with them. So this is what I came up with:
Image

The only trick was how to stamp the images straight:) A pencil and a ruler came to rescue:) I counted the letters and started with the "S" in the middle so my sentiment can stay in the center:) the little "," is actually the dot from the "!" :) Easy, right?

I hope that you are inspired to try spelling something out yourself. Happy Crafting!

1 Stamp Set 2 Ways with Sketches

Hello Everyone! Today I am sharing a couple of sketches I made for Welcome Spring Time Stamp Set:

Image

The squares in Welcome Spring Time stamp set are all about 1-1/4" in size and look amazing on cards:

Image

I decided to challenge myself for a masculine card with the second sketch:

Image

I printed the sentiment from my computer and added some staples for detail:

I hope that you like today's cards and are inspired to create some cards using the sketches. Happy Crafting!

The road goes ever on

When thinking about roads and journeys, this is what came to me the first: Life is a journey and the road goes ever on. Using Traffic Signs by Gel∙à∙tins, I came up with this card:

Image

I used a small piece of lollypop stick to hold my traffic sign and added two brads to give it a realistic look:) The car silhouette is so cute and graphic (just how I like it! :) stamped on some scrap and cut out with a border about 1/16".

Image

You can find more details on this card on my blog here.

Inks: (tuxedo black, ladybug) Memento
Patterned Paper: (Sweet Floral, Cherry Pie, Farm Field Stripe from Country Charm) GCD Studios
Cardstock: (yellow) The Paper Company
Brads: (mini brads) Recollections

Meet Nina!

Image

Hello everyone! This is Nina from Arizona, US.

I am so thrilled to be on this team! I discovered Gel∙à∙tins stamps last September in an online store. It was love at first sight :) Every stamp sets they have are fresh and unique.

All things paper make me happy! I am a stamper and card maker with a passion for 3D paper crafts. Origami was my entire craft life until I discovered stamping in mid 2011. I love trying out new techniques and new tools. Fun & Cute, Clean & Graphical are my favorite styles. I like bright and cheerful colors.

When not in the craft room, I am constantly seen on my Mac, iPhone or iPad :”) I enjoy taking photos and playing with Photoshop and Illustrator.

Here is a little handmade booklet set I did with Gel∙à∙tins stamp set Best Friends:
