A different kind of tweet

Hello and happy Monday to you!  Today I have such a fun card to share.  I used the You're so Tweet set to make this and combined it with some adorable BoBunny papers that I picked up recently.  I think they go great together!

I used some matching chipboard elements and some fun beaded flowers as well and I think this makes a really cute card that could be used for a lot of different occasions.  You have to love a card that you can use for more than one thing!
I stamped the sentiment right onto one of those chipboard elements and the bird was stamped onto one of the pieces of patterned paper.

Supplies Used:
BoBunny papers and chipboard elements
Xyron adhesives
Ink by Staz-On
Pen by Sakura
Border punch by Fiskars
Beaded flowers (no brand name given)

Thank you, gel-a-tinas!

I would like to start today off with a HUGE thank you to the gel-a-tinas that have been with us for the last six months.  I hope you've enjoyed the projects that they've shared with us over their term.  Thank you so much girls for all your hard work!

Next week starts the term for the new team.  Keep an eye out for their posts starting May 8th!

Today I have a card to share with you that I made using one of the new sets called Safari Friends.

This set has that adorable corner detail that I used to make a frame on the card background, and it has some sweet little animals that match.  I chose to add a little embellishment to this with the elephant stamp.  The sentiment was stamped with the Laugh Out Loud alpha and the White On! gelly powder.  For the elephant I used the Hawaiian Paradise scented embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Adhesive:  Xyron
Ink:  Versamark and Staz-On black
Twine: The Twinery

My last gel-a-tins post!

This is a bittersweet post. My term is up this month with Gel A Tins stamps and I completely missed the Team Call for the next term

I have had a ton of fun creating with these adorable stamps.

I have to say my favorite thing about Gel A Tins is the fact they come in this wonderful Tin.

Storage is pretty easy when your stamps come in their own storage system.

Today I am using the set called Sugar & Spice.

Image

I am also using the Mojo Monday Sketch # 238.

Image

Here is my card for today:)

Image

I looked at the sketch and knew that I wanted to try using my Mini Polaroid die for this card.

Image

It a very simple color scheme and I think it is a fun variation of the Mojo Monday sketch.

Image

Just using white embossing powder, I was able to keep the black and white theme for the card.

But there is never a problem with a splash of pink, right?

Image

So there you have it: My last card for the wonderful and generous people over at Gel A Tins stamps.

I have had a lot of fun here and hope that you have enjoyed the things I have shared.

This has been Jeannie with The Polka Cabana with today's post.

Love Knots decorated box by Donna

Happy Wednesday!! Today I have something a little different. I decided to decorate a box with the Gel-a-tins Love Knots stamp. It's so easy to make. Just take plain box and stamp the top with the Love Knots stamp. Then I stamped the sides in the direction of the grain. When you're done, just add a bow and you have a lovely gift box that doesn't require wrapping paper. Just add a pretty bow and you're present is ready. Here are some close up pictures of the box.

A spring-y house by Linda!

Hi all...
It's Linda with you today with a special altered bird house that I created using 2 stamp sets from Gel-a-tins, Love Knots and Cosmo Pups.
This project was first inspired by spring season, so the colors that I pick are surrounded by blue, light yellow, and green.

Image

Used Love Knots to create the roof of the house and heat emboss to create more texture using embossing powder. I added crackle paint on the star for more accent.

Image

Here you can see the other side of the house...

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out today's project, be sure to see what the rest of the DT has been up to and become a follower so you don't miss out on all the future fun...

Pass it on...

Image

Looking to give a little pick-me-up to someone special? These tags may be perfect. Created these tags using Gel-A-Tins Unbeleafable stamp set by simply stamping an image and die cutting a flower. Each die cut image was then backed with colorful scrap pieces of paper to make the flower cut-out pop.

Image

I then used Gel-A-Tins Spin Cycle to give more detail to the quote strip of paper. Fun to mix and match the colors, find that perfect quote and just play with the layers.

The Simple Life card

I have made a very clean and simple card for you today.

I am using the set called WILD THINGS.
This has got to be my favorite Gel A Tins set!

Image

I decided to go simple with my colors.

You can see my main color is white.

Image

I have been working a lot with Grafix Arts paper products.

Image

They have amazing Vellum and all my white paper is vellum.

(sorry you can see the adhesive, it must have been the time of night, since you can't see the the adhesive indoors!)

Image

I love how white embossing powder looks on white vellum! So pretty!

Image

I also have used Grafix Arts Black Chipboard to make the frame for my sentiment. It is amazing, since it is black all the way through! PERFECT for mounting and framing things!

Image

I wanted to create a peaceful setting with the placement of the flowers and butterflies..

Image

I thought this would be the perfect for someone going through a rough spot. Someone who needed to take time out and enjoy the little things in life!

Simpler times!

(I think I need to mail the card to myself!!)

I hope you have enjoyed my project for today, this has been Jeannie with The Polka Cabana with today's post.

Hope you're having a great week and happy Wednesday! Today I've made a set of 3x3 mini cards using the Gel-a-tins Love Knots Stamp and Merci Stamp set. It's a fun and colorful CAS Thanks set of mini cards. Here's a close up of the pink one.

Burlap and stamps!

Good morning, gelly fans!  It's Jessica here again with a fun project I made with the Time's a Ticking set.

I stamped my clock images onto some 7 Gypsies patterned paper with Staz-On ink and cut them out.  They're layered in with die-cuts, embellishments, ribbon and a large, folded embellishment that I made.  That base is a Canvas Corp burlap star.  I used my Xyron to attach all the paper embellishments and this came together in a flash!

I'm thinking that I'll pick up a shadow box to put this in and I'll probably hang it in my craft room, but you could use something like this (in a different theme) for an additional something on a wrapped gift or even as part of some party decor.  Stringing a few of these together to make a banner would be really cute!

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper: 7 Gypsies
Adhesive: Xyron
Pins: Maya Road
Sticker: Heidi Swapp

Key: Colorbok
Ink: Staz-On black
Ribbon:  May Arts

Be Happy with Linda!

On this project Love Knots Stamp Set was used on the bottom part of the card and cut with decorative scissor to create scalloped edge. I distress the project using water and paint distress (acrylic paint). It was pretty fun actually. I also added a background Love Knots stamped image and cut to create a nice size circle. The sentiment was on the fabric ticket, which was attached with Tim Holtz

And here a detail picture of the project, where you can see more on the stamped background image:

Hope you enjoy this week project and thank you for reading my post!

Crazy for chevron!

I know that I can't be the only person that loves the look of a chevron pattern on their projects on in home decor.  When I saw this new set by gel-a-tins I fell in love and couldn't wait to get it in my hands.  You may have seen a little sneak peek of this card if you're a fan on our Facebook page, but here's the whole thing!

The set is called Chevron Stripes and it has eight different size and style chevron strips that you can use to make your own chevron pattern in any color and on any background you want.  I used two different sizes on this card (one for the card base and one on the star).  Be sure to check out our sponsored online retailer, Stampn-Scrapn for this set if your local store isn't carrying gel-a-tin stamps yet.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Elefuntastic card by Jeannie!

Hello everyone..
I am here with a cute card today. I am using Mojo Monday's Sketch #236
Here is the sketch.

Image

I turned the sketch and used it like this:

Image

I am using the set called:
ELEPHANT GARDEN

Image

Here is my version of the sketch from above.

Image

It think this is such a sweet set. There are so many possibilities since there are so many stamps.

Image

I took one of the largest elephants and embossed it with a glitter embossing powder. It created a nice effect for the background.

Image

I am using all MOMENTA paper products.

Image

All of these wild prints are from a paper pack called:

ANIMAL PRINT

Image

I also used some ABC stickers from a Momenta 12 x 12 Super Paper Pad. If you don't have a phrase that matches your stamps, make one up! That's what I always do!

Image

I hope you have enjoyed my sketch tweak today! Do you use sketches? I am new to using them but I am hooked!
What sketch sites you do like?
I would love to hear what you have to say.

A place to land...

Image

Working with a little Gel-A-Tins Unbeleafable stamp set today as spring is here. A perfect addition to any project, whether you cut out the leaves or use the entire image as a background stamp. Used the tiny stamps in this set as well to create a little tag border towards the bottom of the card.

Image

Also added a three circle stamp from Spin Cycle to add detail to the top of the card/tag. Although this card has several layers of colors and patterns, each of the stamped images stands out on their own.

Spin Cycle
Unbeleafable

Additional Supplies:

My Mind's Eye - paper
Studio Calico - paper
Papertrey Ink - die, ink, sentiment

Butterflies and Love Knots with Donna!

Happy Wednesday! Today I'm sharing with you a card I made featuring the Gel-a-tins Love Knots stamp. I decided to stamp the Love Knots on a craft color and use some pink and orange as contrasting colors. To make this card I stamped a Crumb Cake panel with the Love Knots stamp using Crumb Cake ink. I made the card from Pink card stock and added the orange panel and the Love Knots panel. I made 3 butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch and added pink pearls to each of them. Then I added some Thickers Letters to the Love Knots panel. It was a fun and easy card to make.

Here is a close up showing the hearts in the Love Knots pattern.

A very Good Friday to you!

Hey again, gelly fans!  I hope you're all looking forward to a great weekend.  I am looking forward to a lot of fun (but dreading that 90+ degree weather.  Yikes!)

I have a little last-minute card to share with you.  We have two really beautiful Easter stamp sets and I used them both on this card.  If you have cardstock, ink and some ribbon to use, you can make this card in a jiffy!

I love all of the different patterned eggs and the bunny in these sets.  Those florals and swirls are so pretty!

Enjoy this great springy weekend!
